I went to a family wedding last year were the bride chose to order her champagne toasts and wedding meal wine on line and paid the corkage to the hotel. The happy couple had worked out this was the cheaper option for them. The guests were treated to several glasses of champagne and a bottle of wine between per couple. The good news for wine lovers at the wedding was that any bottles left over from the meal the hotel was happy for the guests to take with them to the evening reception which was being held in a different room in the hotel.
The bride and groom felt this was a cheaper option for toasts and meal drinks rather than paying per glass.
